Hijack is an action thriller. The film revolves around Vikram Madan (Shiney Ahuja) who is a ground maintenance officer at the Chandigarh airport. His social life is limited to one friend, Rajeev, who is the Security Chief of the same airport. As luck would have it, the flight in which Vikram’s daughter was traveling to Amritsar from Delhi, is hijacked. A group of six terrorists takes control of the airplane to secure release of Maqsood (KK Raina) who had been captured by the Indian police. The flight is forced to land at Chandigarh airport. The terrorists demand the release of Maqsood and threaten to kill the hostages. The mastermind of this terrorist group is a man named Abdullah who remains a mystery till the end.
Now, Vikram is faced with the dilemma of being the only man who can sneak inside the aircraft to his daughter Priya. Once he sneaks into the aircraft with the help of the airhostess, Saira (Esha Deol), he starts plotting and killing the terrorists one by one. Some innocent passengers too become victims of the gunshots by ruthless terrorists in the process. Somehow, Vikram and Saira manage to save the day.
Prakash Rathod, Commissioner of Police, Mumbai (played by Mr Anupam Kher) gets a call demanding the release of four militants in lieu of information on bombs that the man has planted in various parts of the city. At first, Prakash suspects it to be a crank call but his doubts are dispelled once he actually finds a bomb planted in the police station right opposite his Police Headquarters.
Now Prakash Rathod is in a real dilemma. Should he release the militants? Militants who have been caught at the cost of lives of police officers in the first place? Militants who are responsible for unaccountable damage to civilian lives and property? Militants who will cause further damage in the coming years, if let go Scott free? Or should he just think of all the innocent people who will die today if he decides not to let them go?
Prakash Rathod is not a man who would give up so easily. He gets a team of his best men together and taps all his resources - he was going to leave no stone unturned in his mission to track down the man. He even hires a 17 year old hacker to help his team trace the calls and hence the location of this man.
Meanwhile, he comes across Naina Roy, a wannabe-something news channel reporter (played by Ms Deepal Shaw) who also has been tipped off by an anonymous caller. Time passes without any concrete results on the identity of the caller. As a backup plan, he puts two of his best men, Arif and Jai (played by Jimmy Sheirgill and Amir Bashir respectively) to hand over the four militants. It is then that events take a bizarre turn.
Suddenly, everything becomes a huge question mark. Who is this man? What is his identity? What are his intentions and what is the motive behind them? The caller (played by Mr Naseeruddin Shah) then reveals his true identity and answers these questions, raising some more in the process...

For charismatic party guy Jack Fuller (Ashton Kutcher) and buttoned-up commodities trader Joy McNally (Cameron Diaz), a rowdy weekend coincidentally shared in Las Vegas should have, by all rights, ended up being little more than a random blur. That is, if these two vacationing New Yorkers didn`t have a signed marriage license staring them in the face to shockingly remind them of the giant misstep they took while feeling no pain, Vegas-style. Stacking the deck, not only did Jack and Joy tie the knot after tying one on, but later scored a mind-blowing three million bucks in a slot machine bonanza. Well, Jack won it with Joy`s quarter. At the machine she`d already been playing. Or was it the other way around? And whose loot is it anyway?
Therein lies the weird hand dealt this bickering duo who take their predicament back to Manhattan only to be sentenced by the intractable Judge Whopper (Dennis Miller) to "six months hard marriage." Despite the hapless protests of Jack`s best friend and legal counsel Steve "Hater" Hader (Rob Corddry), Whopper refuses to grant Jack and Joy an annulment, freezes the prize booty, and forces the irresponsible couple to prove they have done everything humanly possible to make their impromptu marriage work. This includes co-habitation, weekly counseling sessions, and doing something the old school Whopper believes Jack and Joy`s "generation" hates to do: try. Otherwise, the judge guarantees, the three million bucks will stay caught up in a legal battle so long and expensive no one but the lawyers will ever see a penny of it.
Can Jack and Joy survive their six months of "wedded bliss"--without killing each other first--and ultimately cash in for the big payoff? Or will the fiery sparks that ricochet between them actually ignite, turning a fake relationship into something astonishingly real? In the end, what happens in "What Happens in Vegas" may prove the biggest surprise of all.
